Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN F. ST. GERMAIN 1921-2003 Peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2003, surrounded by her family, Joan F. St. Germain passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 81. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Mabel Davies; her son Barrie; brother Thomas Glyn; and sisters, Megan and Ann. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter June (Keith Wilson) granddaughters, Kelly Wilson (Wayne Buss), Tammy (Wayne De Jong) great-grandchildren, Ayden, Ashton, Brooklyn and Caitlyn and sister Dilys Fidler. Numerous nieces, nephews and close friends also cherish her memory. Joan was raised in St. Vital where she spent most of her life. She led a very full and active life. She enjoyed her daily walks, bowling with the Niakwa Seniors Bowling League, and keeping up to date with her sports teams and current events. In earlier years she enjoyed curling with the St. Vital Curling Club, swimming lessons at Bonnivital pool, and travelling on many baton trips. After completing her schooling, Joan worked for Perths Cleaners. She took a dress-making course and became employed as a seamstress with Sterling Stall for over thirty years. Joan became a Union Representative working hard to establish benefits for her fellow employees. She retired in 1987. Joan loved spending time with her family. They were her pride and joy. She sewed and knitted for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her talent was greatly admired. She will be dearly missed. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marks Anglican Church, St. Marks Place (St. Vital). A private family interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 2nd Flr. 629 Bannatyne Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
