MARIE CZARNY It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marie, our dear mother and grandmother on August 4, 2003. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Keith, Michael and Janice; as well as countless other family members and friends. Marie was a selfless person who lived her life caring for her husband, children, grandchild, family, friends, neighbours and anyone who needed a hand. She was spirited, fun-loving person who was always on the go gallivanting as she would say. There was no task too small or great for her when someone needed help. Whether it be to baby-sit her granddaughter, take a few groceries to someone in need or give a friend a ride, she spent her time doing for others. Through her work, Mom met and touched many lives, making many acquaintances and friends. Wherever she went, she always seemed to meet up with someone she knew. Mom loved children. Her children were her focal point, especially after Dad passed. She guided, provided for and helped us in any way she could. In 2002, she experienced a new kind of love when she became a grandmother to Camille. This gave her a new zest for life and reason for being. Moms adoration was not limited to her own children. She loved all children and was like a guardian, protecting and enriching the life of any child who entered her life. Mom had a special affinity with them as they did with her. Mom started out working as a hairdresser, but soon realized it was not what she wanted and went to work at Meyers Drug Store in the dispensary. From there she went to work for Dr. Loh for more than 30 years until her retirement in 2000. Working side by side with Dr. Loh for so many years, he and his family became like her second family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Stonewall Hospital for the loving care they provided to make Moms last day peaceful and pain free. Thanks also to the volunteer First Responders of the Woodlands Fire Department and the Ambulance staff. We appreciate the extra time it gave us with Mom. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., followed by a gathering to celebrate Mom s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Childrens Hospital Research Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
