CAROLINE CANDACE HARRIET MACKSEY At 5:00 a.m., August 5, 2003, at age 51, with her family at her side, Caroline Candace Harriet Macksey, beloved spouse of Waynne Borley, passed away in the St. Boniface Hospital, after a courageous year long battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her for her ready smile, sparkling eyes and her keen wit. Her helpful personality was her trademark in life. Caroline will be missed by her sister, Doreda Darling and family of Ottawa; cousins in Sault Ste. Marie; son Christopher Macksey and family of Winnipeg; stepson Gil Borley and family of Winnipeg but mostly by her spouse of 20 plus years, Waynne Borley of Garson, MB. It was Carolines wish to be cremated as she didnt want to be interred in the ground. We wish to thank the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital, especially the nurses of 5B wing for their compassionate care of Carol during her illness and also the staff of the CAPD Department of St. Boniface Hospital for the many years of care. We commend her soul to God. Service to be held on Friday, August 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Formal Gardens in Assiniboine Park. If raining, service and reception to be held in St. Marks Church, 19 St. Marks Place, St. Vital, Winnipeg. Although Carol loved flowers, the family request that donations be made in her name to CancerCare Manitoba in lieu of flowers. Anyone desiring further information please contact 779-4838.
