BRENDA LILLIAN MITCHELL Mrs. Brenda Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 77 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Matthew and wife Susan; and her daughters, Joy Mitchell, Brenda Therrien and her husband Mike; along with her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. As well, one brother-in-law James Mitchell; two sisters-in-law, Shirley King and Joan King; and their families. Brenda was predeceased by her husband Bruce in July 1992; and her three brothers, John, Bill and Ian King. In the early years of her marriage, Brenda was employed part-time by Eatons Mail Order. The remainder of her life was dedicated to managing her home and raising her family. Brenda enjoyed many summers at Winnipeg Beach and, on any vacation, her day was not complete without going for a swim. She made a home away from home on their many family camping trips throughout Canada and the United States. Once Bruce retired, they travelled more extensively as a couple. Time with her family was always well spent for Brenda. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
