RUTH KO AKAGAWA Ruth Akagawa passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at the Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her adopted parents, Rev. and Mrs. Y. Akagawa. Ruth was born in Vancouver, BC on March 31, 1912. She was employed by the City of Winnipeg Health Department and worked as a public health nurse for 26 years. When she retired in 1975, Ruth became a member of the St. James Art Group. She enjoyed painting as a hobby for many years. At Ruths request, a cremation service has taken place with Rev. Yoshi Masaki presiding. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Ruths name to Knox United Church, 400 Edmonton St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2M2 or the charity of ones choice.
