Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMANUEL DE SOUSA ALVES Peacefully on August 8, 2003 at Seven Oaks Hospital, dad passed away after a lengthy illness at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by our mother, Maria Ilda Alves; his parents Angelo and Emily Diogo; brothers, Jose Sousa, Jose Diogo, Pedro Diogo; infant great-granddaughter; brothers-in-law, Jose and Abidio Ventura. Left to mourn his passing is daughter Liberta (Jose) Moreira; sons, Durval (Maria) Medeiros, Octavio (Maria) Medeiros and Augustino Alves; (daughter-in-law) Margaret Tavares; grandchildren, Lizeta (Luis), Marco (Carla), Elizabeth, Jennifer, Nelson, Michael, Mathew, Travis, Nicky; great-grandchildren, Nilza, Dylan, Luanda; sisters, Maria Jose, Angela (John) Mederios, Urania Urselina (Jose) Furtado; sisters-in-law, Constantina, Germana, Cremilde and many nieces and nephews in Canada and United States. The family would like to thank the staff of the Luther Home for all their care and kindness they gave him. Special thanks to Wanze, you were great. Also special thanks to Mariano Falcao for always being there when needed for his appointments and company. Also thanks to Wally and Margaret. Prayers will be said on Sunday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 11, at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed John XXIII Parish, 3390 Portage Ave. Rev. Msgr. Maurice J. Comeault, P.H. will preside at both services. Burial will follow at Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
