RONALD JOSEPH DORGE 1941 - 2003 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden but peaceful passing of Ronald Joseph Dorge, at the age of 62 years, with his family and friends by his side, at the Victoria General Hospital on Thursday, August 7, 2003. He is survived by his loving wife Gisele; sons, Richard (Annette), David (Bonnie) and Robert (Rejeanne) grandchildren, Ashley, Brendin and Justin; sisters, Laurette (Neil) Dirks and Mariette (Bob) Podolski; brother Claude; sisters-in-law, Lillianne and Del Dorge; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ronald was predeceased by his parents, David and Philomene Dorge; his first wife Claudette (nee Brown) brothers, Gerard, Camille, Gilles and Lionel. Ron grew up in St. Norbert. At an early age he began working for Furnasman and was a dedicated employee for 46 years. Throughout his career he had many family and friends work alongside him. Ron was a seasoned bowler, achieving many prestigious awards including his "700 Club" membership. He held various executive positions throughout his bowling career. Also, one of Rons loves was golf. He always enjoyed a round with his family and friends. A proud moment for Ron was when he shot his best front nine at his favourite course, Falcon Lake. Dad loved life. He was a man of deep faith. He was a very devoted husband, father and pepere. Pepere gave the best hugs. Dad was loving, kind, caring and always ready to help others, no matter the task. He had a magnetic personality that drew all people to him. He had an excellent sense of humour and a quick wit. He was very outgoing and easy to talk to. If you needed directions to any particular place in the city, Dad was but a phone call away. Dad was a proud "no fuss" kind of guy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Prayers will be held on Monday, August 11 at 7:00 p.m. in Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m., also in the Church, with Rev. Fr. Carl Tarnopolski presiding. Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Czarnecki and the dedicated staff in the E.R. and I.C.U. at the Victoria General Hospital. A special thank you to all those who came to Dads aid, including the E.M.T. personnel who responded so promptly.
