ALICE LAVINA HANCHARYK Alice Hancharyk passed away peacefully on August 7, 2003 at the Riverview Health Centre with her family by her side. Alice loved to have her family around her and the heat of the summer sun. Her trips to Phoenix were highlights in her life. Since her stroke, being confined to a wheelchair, she enjoyed her long walks around Crescentwood and Riverview. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gayle MacKenzie, Duffy (Maureen), Billy (Catherine) and Jamie Jones (Darcy). Granny was much loved by her grandchildren, Kenny, Tammy, Geordie, Daniel, Cody, Jody, Tara, Brandy and Derek. Gran-Gran also had eight great-grandchildren who always brought a smile to her face. Her husband Ernie, her parents, one sister and six brothers predeceased Alice. Left to mourn are her sisters, Margaret Evans of Surrey, BC, Hazel Mulvaney (Lennie) her brother Tom Connon (Pearl) of Fort Frances, ON and Irene Connon of Calgary, AB. Our sincere appreciation and thanks to the WRHA Homecare, Victoria Hospital, and the Riverview Health Centre staff for the excellent care they provided for Mom. By request, Mom has been cremated and a family interment will be held at a later date. Keep warm Mom, your are now at peace, and well miss you!
