SARA REMPEL Peacefully with her family at her side, Sara (Neudorf) Rempel, aged 75, left this world to be with her Creator. Sara passed away on Friday, August 8, 2003 at Red River Valley Lodge. Sara is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, John F. Rempel; five sons and three daughters, 19 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Left to mourn their mother are John (Daniella), Peter (Marlene), Betty (Guy), Jake (Judy), Sara (Paul), MaryAnn (Dale), Dennis, and Harry (Helene). Also left to mourn are Saras three sisters and one brother, Marie Phillips, Dick (Cathy) Neudorf, Margaret (Dave) Penner of Brandon and Ann (Ernie) Andrusiak of Calgary; as well as her inlaws, Mary (Willie) Hamm, Helen Fast, Ann Friesen, Peter (Mary) Rempel; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends. Sara was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Dietrich Neudorf and Sara Neudorf; her sister Helen Dueck; and her parents-in-law, Peter and Sara Rempel. Sara was born June 4, 1928 on a farm near St. Joseph, MB and attended Langevin School. She married John in 1948 and they lived on a farm in the Langevin School District. Thereafter they lived in Altona, then in Emerson, then back to Altona for many years and later moved to Morris. It was her influence and passion for flowers that started a trend in Morris. Sara worked tirelessly and diligently in her garden, volunteered at church and cherished the times she could spend with her children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren. Sewing and quilting occupied much of her time and made her friends and familys Christmas very special. Saras creation of the "circle of love" taught all of us we would never be alone and all who joined the "circle of love" knew the family was there to help and support them. Saras faith has sustained her during her lengthy illness and given her an inner strength. A special thank you to Dr. Fraser and all the staff at Red River Valley Lodge for their support and care during Saras three years of residence. A special thanks from all the family to her daughter, MaryAnn, for her care of our mother at the Lodge during her convalescence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice. A celebration of Saras life will take place at the Morris Baptist Church on Monday, August 11 at 11:00 a.m., 162 Railroad Ave. West, Morris. Morris Funeral Home in charge of arrangements (746-2451) (1-866-746-2451).
