IRENE THERESE FONTAINE (nee MARION) October 13, 1929 - August 8, 2003 Peacefully on August 8, 2003 at St. Josephs Hospital in Estevan, SK, Irene Therese Fontaine passed away to join her husband, Armand, who predeceased her in 1978. Irene leaves to mourn her daughter Raymonde (Terry) Trainor of Charlottetown, P.E.I.; her son Philip (Shirley) Fontaine of Medicine Hat, AB; and her daughter-in-law Sheran Fontaine of Estevan, SK; seven grandchildren, Donnie and Michael Trainor, Daniel, David and Andrea Fontaine, Jennifer and Jason Fontaine. She also leaves to mourn four sisters, Cecile Vermette, Florence Fillion, Agathe Gratton, Denise (Herve) Barnabe; and three brothers, Georges (Lucie) Marion, Leo (Gisele) Marion and Armand Marion. As well, she leaves sisters and brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her son Marcel (2001) three brothers, Lucien, David, and Fernand; as well as three sisters, Germaine Desautels, Hortense Ayotte, and Yvette Fontaine. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13 at the Ste. Agathe Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at the Ste. Agathe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, or to a charity of ones choice. We cannot always understand Why things happen as they do But it is comforting to know God will take care of you.
