HELEN KATHERINE WILSON (nee KEOUGH) Peacefully, on Saturday, August 9, 2003, Helen passed away at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford in 1967 and her sister Hilda Kirkland in 1999. Leaving to cherish her memory are her sister Mae Dunmall (George) brothers, Tom and Ted Keough (Clara) nieces and nephews, Larry Dunmall (Sharon), Chris Dunmall, Tom Keough (Marg), Kathy Biluk (Terry), Mary Cairns (Allen) and families. Auntie Helen was also known to many as "She She." Helen was a kind and considerate person. She had a heart of gold and was always interested in what everyone was doing. Helen had a sharp mind and even planned her 90th birthday to the finest detail. Auntie Helen was a pioneer lake person. She and Uncle Cliff built one of the first cottages at Betula Lake and introduced the entire family to summers in the Whiteshell. Helen and Cliff were one of the original founders of St. Christophers Church at Jessica Lake. Helen lived all of her life in St. James and spent many years on her own following Cliffs passing. She worked at the St. James School Board and was an avid curler. Later in life, reading became her pastime. Her favourite thing to do was to visit with family and friends and catch up on everyones news. She particularly enjoyed family gatherings and with her sharp wit and sense of humour, added her personal touch to the party. We shall all miss our "She She." Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 13 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul The Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Ave., with Rev. Msgr. Ward Jamieson presiding. A private family interment will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Helens memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
