Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAURICE MICHAEL KOROTASH February 16, 1951 - August 10, 2003 It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Maurice Michael Korotash. Maurice passed away in Wembley, AB, on Sunday, August 10, 2003, at the age of 52. He was predeceased by his parents Anne and Mike Korotash; and his nephew Darcy Shannon. He leaves to mourn his beloved common-law spouse Barb Evans; and his stepson Justin, aged 6, of Wembley; as well as his 14 year old son Scott of Winnipeg, MB; also left to mourn are his sisters, Deanne (Richard) Kaletzke, Gail (Ron) Bodner, Sylvia (Don) Garrioch, Doris (Andy) Rud, Nancy Willis; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly and sadly missed by Barbs family, Roy and Edith Evans, Connie (Aime) Brunet, Ken (Tricia) Evans, Jim (Yvonne) Evans, Dale (Rhonda) Evans, Glen (Shannon) Evans, Cathy (Al) Leitao, Wayne (Sandra) Evans, Nancy (Keith) Mac Lennan, David (Shannon) Evans, Janice (Jody) Lyne; as well as numerous stepnieces and stepnephews. Maurice resided in Winnipeg most of his life where he received his education. He owned and operated his own business for 15 years and enjoyed his work. He loved to hunt with Barb and his friends, doing Tae-Kwon-Do with Justin, golfing with Scott, curling, camping and fishing. Maurice had a great passion for history, war and nature. He loved the outdoors and took every opportunity he could to see something new. He will also be greatly missed by his friends and all who knew him. All family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service that will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 22 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre.
