RUTH LENOSKI August 27, 1922 - August 10, 2003 Peacefully, with family and friends by her side, Ruth, aged 80 years, passed away at Riverview Health Centre. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ted in January 2003, and brother Hank and sister Clara. Ruth will be sadly missed by her daughter Joanne (Andy) Gerwing; and son Jim (Janice) grandchildren, Jeff (Nicky), Steven (Sherri), David, Christopher (Lisa), Kathryn (Cliff), Lesley, Jennifer and Trevor; great-grand-daughter Tavia; her brother Ted; nieces, nephews and her many friends. In her youth she was very active in the Holy Ghost Parish, participating in Polish dancing and singing in the church choir. She would continue to be a life-long member. After graduating from Success Business College, she worked for Great West Life for several years. Later on she worked part-time for Air Canada and the Good Neighbors Club. Ruth was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her door was always open and she cherished the time she spent with her frequent visitors. She was a lady who could communicate easily with everyone. She was well loved and will always be remembered. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview for their loving, tender care. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, August 12 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., with an Oblate Father officiating. Entombment will follow in Assumption Mausoleum. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Ruths memory to the Palliative Care Unit, Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4.
