Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIRGINIA NOVAK It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Virginia Novak on Saturday, August 9, 2003. Virginia was born on June 27, 1952 in Theodore, SK and was raised on the family farm there until the age of six when her family relocated to the Gladstone area. She was educated at the Golden Stream School and William Morton Collegiate. Throughout her life she struggled with Muscular Dystrophy. She enjoyed reading and needlework and spent many summers assisting her mother canning and freezing fruits and vegetables. Virginia will be lovingly remembered by her son Christopher; brothers, Adam, Daniel, and Willie; sisters, Elaine, Sylvia, and Shirley; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her father John (1968), her mother Mary (2002), her brother David (2002), and brother-in-law Tom (2002). Special thanks to the home care workers who assisted Virginia with living at home on the farm over the last number of years. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m. in Clarkes Funeral Chapel, Gladstone, with Rev. Joe Ball officiating. Interment will follow in the Gladstone Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Virginias memory to the Society of Manitobans with Disabilities, 825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 9Z9 or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4.
