ROBERT BEAMISH dePENCIER Robert Beamish dePencier passed away peacefully on August 12, 2003, after a lengthy illness. Bob was born in Penticton, BC. At an early age his parents and his six siblings moved to Winnipeg, MB. He leaves his loving family, wife Sheila; supportive sons, David (Edi), Allan (Lorna), Dale, Richard; cherished grandchildren, Darryl, Shelley, Robert, Raymond. His sisters, Josephine dePencier of Winnipeg, Edith (Frank) Kirk of Arizona; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Bob served his country in the Second World War in the R.C.A.F. 1940 to 1945. He attended the University of Manitoba for two years, then realized the military was his true calling and served as a Career Officer until his retirement. Still a young man, Bob worked for Canada Post for 10 years. His final retirement in 1986 allowed him to pursue his interests: curling, golfing, fishing and gardening. Bob was a member of the Cloverdale BC Legion, Branch 6. Memorial service to be held at The Church Of The Holy Trinity in White Rock, BC, 15115 Roper Ave., on Wednesday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation, 15521 Russell Ave., White Rock, BC V4B 2R4, would be appreciated.
