EVELYN DAISY McINTOSH (ROBINSON) Peacefully and with dignity, Auntie Evelyn, widow of Uncle George, has gone to rest on August 12, 2003. Life was never the same for Auntie after she lost her beloved. Born and raised in Headingley, she married and moved to Winnipeg. Her house on Muriel Street was her most prized possession, decorated with her many silk embroidery pictures and crocheted doilies. In 1988, her health failing, she moved into Golden West Centennial Lodge and was very kindly and patiently taken into good care. In June, she celebrated her 90th birthday. Auntie was predeceased by her parents, Ursula and Aubrey Robinson; sister Lillian (Leon) Kilworth; brother-in-law Clarence; sister-in-law Ursula; in-laws and several members of Georges family. She is survived by her sister Irene Franklin, brother Jack Robinson and their families; Georges sisters, Mary Look, Marg Bell and brother Gordon (Pat) McIntosh and families; and brother-in-law Pat Johnson of British Columbia. Many nieces and nephews have special memories of Auntie Evelyn and her cookies. Much gratitude and special "Thanks" to Major Daphne Maye, Joanne, Rhonda and all the staff on the 5th floor and in the cafeteria for always going the extra mile. Also thanks to her faithful godchild Gail Jones. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Golden West Centennial Lodge Activities Department, 811 School Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2Y 0S8 or Grace Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7 or a charity of ones choice. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
