MARGARET JANE DODD (MORRISON) Peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2003, at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital with her family at her side, Margaret Dodd, aged 81 years, formerly of Balmoral, passed away. Margaret was predeceased by her husband John in 1999; her baby son in infancy; her brother Leonard; mother and father Edwin and Janet Morrison. Margaret is survived by her five children, sons, Edwin (Linda) of Stony Mountain, Wayne (Gwen) of Kelowna, BC, Robert (Jean) of Balmoral, Martin (Lil) of Gunton; daughter Sharon (Nick) Panchuk of Stonewall; 11 grandchildren, Blair, Gary (Cindy), Leanne (Mike), Gisele (Bill), Jason (Nancy), Cheryl (Aaron), Debbie (Jody), Michelle (Jim), Malisa (Randy), Trevor, Scott; also four great-grandchildren, Kyle, Jessica, Brooke and Noah; also surviving are brothers, Alan (Alice), Ellis (Dora) sisters, Emma, Alice (Murray) sisters-in-law, Margaret, Nell and Isabel. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Margaret was born September 21, 1921, in Argyle to Edwin and Janet Morrison. She married John Dodd, December 6, 1941. They farmed and raised their family in the Balmoral area. Margaret and John lived in Balmoral until October 1999, when they moved into Teulon. Margaret loved gardening, playing cards and bingo and was well known for her great home baked bread and buns. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
