NORMAN JAMES (JIM) REHILL Jim Rehill passed away August 13, 2003, at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 75, with his family at his side. Jim remained strong and courageous during his short battle with cancer. He maintained great dignity and a sense of humour to the very end. Jim leaves to remember him, his wife of 54 years Dwylah; five children, Meagan, Kyle (Ute), Dean, Vance (Bev), and Darcy (Dave) ten grandchildren, Sheldon, Krista, Cailin, Joel, Adam, Jesse, Kelsey, Serena, Brandan, and Shane. Jim was predeceased by his mother and father, Elizabeth and McKee; daughter Adrian; brothers, Howard and Cecil; and sister Margaret. Jim was born in Portage La Prairie in 1928 and moved to Winnipeg with his mother at the age of ten, after the death of his father. Jim set out to make a life of his own at the tender age of 12, and met and married Dwylah in 1949, at the age of 21. Jim was an extremely hard working man of great honesty and integrity. He was employed for several years with Imperial Oil as a truck driver before his entrepreneurial spirit led him to form N.J. Rehill Transport Ltd. in 1965. Dwylah and Jim ran the business as a team until retirement in 1985. They enjoyed many happy years travelling, golfing, and wintering in Arizona. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Riverview Health Centre, Ward 3E, specifically Dr. Garcia and nurses Carol, Helen, Lorraine, and Betty. Following the cremation, a memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 19 at 11:00 a.m., at Klassens Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made in Jims memory to the Manitoba Down Syndrome Society, 825 Sherbrook, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5, or the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4.
