KATIE HONKE Peacefully, on Thursday, August 14, 2003, Katie Honke (nee Fresorger) passed away at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home. Katie was predeceased by her husband Julius (1964), son Robert (2000), daughters-in-law, Gloria (1986) and Kathy (1987) brother David (1955) and sister Bertha (1985) She is survived by her sons Hilbert (Isie), Norman, James (Sharon) and daughter-in-law Charlotte; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; her brothers, Lance Cranfield, Edward Fresorger; and sisters Lydia Honke, Molly Flug, Ann Demsky and Esther Radon. Katie was born in Blumenfeld, Russia on March 3, 1908 and came to Canada in 1913. Katie spent the early part of her life in River Hills; in 1965 she moved to Whitemouth; in 1979 she moved to Riverbend Manor where she lived until March 3, 2003 when she moved to the Personal Care Home. The family wishes to thank members of the Home Care and Personal Care Home staff who looked after Katie. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, River Hills, MB with Pastor Don Reimer officiating, with a private family interment to follow.
