Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL MAE NOWELL On July 24, 2004, Hazel Mae Nowell passed away peacefully at her residence at Fairview Home in Brandon, MB. Born December 18, 1918 in Glenella, MB, she was a prairie girl at heart but loved the mountains as well and lived most of her life in Manitoba and Alberta. Hazel loved to cook, and throughout her life ran a number of successful restaurants. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Gordon; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her younger sister Willo of Gladstone, MB. She is also survived by her children; Donna Hughes, Clair Nowell, Gail Boyd (Bill) of Brandon, MB; Craig Nowell of Winnipeg, MB; and Linda Nowell of Canmore, AB; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St., Winnipeg, MB, on July 28 at 1:00 p.m. The entire Nowell family wish to whole-heartedly thank the Nurses and Staff of the 5th floor, Fairview Home in Brandon, MB, who provided Hazel with excellent, loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to any local Alzheimers Association.
