NELLIE STONE (nee MUCHA) Peacefully, Monday, August 11, 2003, Nellie Stone (nee Mucha), devoted mother to Brenda and Doug. Born at Melville, SK into a family of 12 children, she grew up on the farm, finally venturing to Winnipeg as a young woman. She worked as a nurses aide and later at Eatons. She invested all of her life to raising her two children. In her later years, she enjoyed wrestling, game shows, and riding throughout Winnipeg by bus or visiting the small towns surrounding the city for lunches with family. She loved her lunches and riding the bus, meeting new people each day. Theres a kind of love that mothers have Thats deep and strong and true And the nicest thing about it is It lasts your whole life through. Love is a joy that cannot be seen A tie that cannot be broken Our love for you is evermore And greater than merely spoken. Memories shared by daughter Brenda and Wilfred Pointon, their children, Chris, Cheryl and Lisa and their families; and by son Doug and Noreen Stone and their children, Amanda, Melissa and Victoria. Service celebrated 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 18 at St. Theresas Church, West St. Paul, 3597 Main St. Interment at Brookland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
