Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I first met Ralph in July 1946. Ralph was a store-clerk for the HBC enroute to his first posting at Sugluk. I was with my family enroute to Inukjuak PQ where my father was to take charge of the DOT weather station. It was our second tour of 3 years there. It was love at first sight when Ralph met my sister Freddie (Frederica). After a 4 year courtship via irregular mail service, they married at Inukjuak in August 1950. Ralph was one of the finest I ever met. He was a quiet, friendly man. I cannot recall anyone speaking ill of him. He was particularly endeared by his aboriginal customers. I was deeply saddened when he passed away, in 2003. Freddie passed away on December 19th 2012. I have lost my two best friends. SBCYCM. - Posted by: Bill Woodrow (Brother-in- law) on: Mar 24, 2014
