PHYLLIS MAY CAMPBELL April 12, 1912 - August 16, 2003 Peacefully, in her sleep at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 91 years, our cherished sister, sister-in-law, aunt and grandmother passed away. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Agnes Bell; her husband Cecile in 1949; her daughter Carole 1998; son-in-law Ken 2000. Affectionately known as "Mrs. C" by Caroles friends and stepchildren, she leaves to celebrate a life well lived; sister Kathleen Mortimer; niece Marlene; nephew Bob Mortimer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ruth and Glen Campbell, Byron and Ruth Campbell, Vera Campbell and their families; grandchildren, Diana, Kerry (Vicky), Dawn Martinson of Winnipeg, Dolores (Dan Causton) of Abbotsford, BC; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Keith, Kristin Martinson, Jenna Hooper of England, Heather Sholter, Joe and Matt Causton; and longtime friend Jennie King and family. Widowed when Carole was three years old, she dedicated her life to raising her daughter. Phyllis worked for over 25 years at the Grain Exchange. She enjoyed travelling to England, Ireland (her fathers birth place), bus tours in Canada and the United States, lunches at Eatons with sister Kath, which she shared a special bond, Rainbow Stage and Travel Logs. Phyllis was a member of Crescent Fort Rouge United Church. Thanks to the staff of Riverview Health Centre where Phyllis lived since September 2000. Dr. Robillard and staff CD3 with special mention to Paul, RN, Venus, RN, Saba, HCA, Estella (for always being so helpful and cheerful), Cheryl in recreation for making the days brighter. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 20 at 3:30 p.m. at Riverview Health Centre Chapel with Glen Horst officiating. Reception to follow in the Thomas Sill Auditorium. Private interment to take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riverview Health Centre Foundation, in care of CD3.
