LUCETTE TETREAULT (nee LAVOIE) The family is saddened to announce the passing of Lucette, our Maman and Grand-maman on August 18, 2003 at Foyer Valade. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Prieur (Eugene) and Pauline Boisselle; her son Marc Tetreault (Jocelyn) grandsons, Marc (Natalie), Paul (Julie) and Denis Prieur; Kris (Amy) and Kasey Boisselle; Reed and granddaughter Alison Tetreault; three great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Agnes Giasson; many nieces and nephews. Lucette was born on February 13, 1908, the youngest of 9 children, all of whom have predeceased her. She grew up in St. Boniface on Provencher Street and went to lAcademie St.Joseph. In 1942, she married Louis-Aime Tetreault, whom everyone lovingly referred to as "Tommy". He died on April 21, 1982. She liked to participate in activities and was quite competitive. At age 93, in spite of poor eyesight, she was the undisputed Shuffleboard Champion at 875 Elizabeth Rd., where she resided for more than 20 years. During the last three years, she resided on 6E at St. Boniface Hospital and then at Foyer Valade where her zest for life, love of fashion and sense of humour were clearly visible. She enjoyed being taken to mass, helping others, outings with family and friends. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank her care-givers at Foyer Valade and on 6E at St. Boniface Hospital. She truly appreciated your compassion and the excellent care she received from each of you. Thank you also to a very special person, Lucille Blanchette who was always there for Mom and for us. In lieu of flowers, a donation in moms memory can be made to the Foyer Valade Building Fund, 450 River Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 5M4. Funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21 at Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St., Father Ron Leger, celebrant. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Whenever we hear someone call "yoohoo" we will always think of you. Bye Mom, you will be missed. Thank you for everything. The Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 233-4949 or toll free 1-888-233-4949.
