Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANIEL BRIAN CHARTRAND Daniel Brian, 36, of Burnaby, BC (formerly of Winnipeg, MB) while camping with his wife and friends at Jones Lake near Hope, B.C. went missing. His body was found August 14 by his cousin Raymond Merlin and brother Randy at the 3.3 km mark where Search and Rescuers exhausted their search. Dan was born September 3, 1966 in Winnipeg and died approximately August 11, 2003. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Allyson Yeates; his daughter Michelle; stepchildren, Patrick and Erin; ex-wife Diane Kensick of Surrey, BC. Dans mother Maureen Greenlay and husband George of Brandon MB; his father Jerry Chartrand and wife Elsa Veth of the Nederlands. Dans brother Randy and wife Betty and nephew Jeremy of Nepean, ON. Dan is also survived by many relatives across the country. His Maternal grandmother, Lilian Hoefer of Brandon, MB; Aunt Helen Boshner; Uncle Butch Hoefer; Aunt Bev (George) of St. Vincent; Uncle Dick Hoefer; Aunt Carol (Len) Welsh; Aunt Maggie Halliday. His Dads family; Aunt Flora Wiebe of Winnipeg.; Aunt Millie (Jessie MacDonald) of Vancouver BC; Uncle Al (Eleanor) of Flin Flon, MB; Uncle Charlie (Yvonne) of Calgary; Aunt and God Mother Joan (Ray) Thorsteinson of Winnipeg.; Aunt Joyce (Donald) Halldorson of Oak Point, MB. Aunt Ruth (David) Pewtress of Calgary, and many cousins who will mourn his loss. Dan was employed by Moznik Trucking as a long haul truck driver. Everyone knew "Dan the Man" as a fun loving man with a huge heart whose world revolved around his daughter, Michelle. The family would like to thank Raymond and Randy whose determination and courage never wavered until they found him and for Scotty and Kim who helped retrieve him. In addition we would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support and donations. Thank you to Valley Community Church for your love and dedication to the family. The funeral will be held at the Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Rd., Coquitlam, BC on Tuesday August 19 with viewing at 1:00 p.m., service to follow at 2:00 p.m. and reception at 3:30 p.m. We will miss you Danny, God Bless.
