The next few years gave Ken and his family the opportunity to live in several interesting communities on both coasts of this great country. His love for the outdoors opened other avenues to what he enjoyed most - people. In 1971 they returned to Manitoba to begin a thirty-year association with the Manitoba Credit Union System and their many wonderful people who were not only great employees but great friends also. During his stay at the Pine Falls Health Complex Ken composed the following - The past few months brought me into the lives of a new community of people - the Health Care Providers at the Pine Falls Health Complex. To me, quality of life became an important part of my daily living routine and the staff at the Pine Falls Health Complex was there to assist not only in a professional care giving area, but also in the basic human aspect which is so important to the patient and their families. To Dr. Van Rooyen, doctors and staff of the clinic and staff of the Pine Falls Health Complex, a sincere Thank You. To all my family members, friends and neighbours too numerous to mention (you know who you are) your love, strength and support have meant much to me, Audrey, and my family Thank You! It was an honour to have mingled in your midst. In accordance with Kens wishes there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and a family interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations in Kens memory may be made to a charity of your choice. So shed a tear if you must, then smile as you remember the good times Cheers!
