VEZINA JOSEPH (JOE) MARTEL 1923 - 2003 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Vezina Joseph (Joe) Martel on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Ste. Anne Hospital. Joe was born in La Broquerie on September 11, 1923. He lived most of his life in Giroux, MB where he was a rural postal courier for 37 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Grace; his children, Maurice (Evelyn), Roger (Lorraine), Denise (Gerry), Adele (Jim), Doug (Gail), Gloria, Loretta (Steve), Marianne (Darren), Jim (Thelma) 24 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Prayers will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, MB on Thursday, August 21 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Christ Our Saviour Catholic Parish, 365 Loewen Blvd., Steinbach, on Friday, August 22 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Dads name.
