RONALD LIONEL NOREN On August 18, 2003, surrounded by his family and after a courageous battle with kidney cancer, Dad peacefully passed away at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB. Ron was born in Moosejaw, SK and later moved to Winnipeg with his family. Dad worked at the Labatt Brewery in Winnipeg as a bottle shop supervisor until his retirement in 1989. Ron was predeceased by his first wife Rosemarie in 1986. Dad leaves to mourn his daughter Carolyn Noren of Winnipeg, and his wife Marie of Eriksdale, MB. He also leaves to mourn his brothers, Laurie (Edna), Brian (Valerie), Gary; brother-in-law Ken; and many nieces and nephews. Ron is survived by his father-in-law Ralph (Sara) Plantz; mother-in-law Eleanora Odland; stepchildren, Ray (Ramona), Brad (Ruth), Fred (Heather), Karen (Rob) and nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Also many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many good friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, at the Camper Community Hall with Mr. Brad Squires officiating. Interment to follow at the Mulvihill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild in care of Julie Bergner, Box 721, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0, to be used in the Ashern Palliative Care Unit.
