VELMA DORCAS LOUISE SEYMOUR (nee WINDSOR) Peacefully, on August 18, 2003, Velma passed away at the age of 86 years. Velma was born on September 3, 1916 in Lariviere, MB. Velma was predeceased by her husband Melvin. She leaves to mourn her only son Ken, his wife Diane; her three granddaughters, Bonnie (Adrian), Yvonne (Wayne), Lori (Joe) and her five great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Joey, Tracy, Tia and Kirsten. Velma will be greatly missed by her brothers, Ken, Bill, Mike (Beatrice), Ivan (Gail) and Jack (Toni) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Mildred and Edna; and her brother Clem. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. Funeral service will held on Thursday, August 21, at 1:30 p.m. in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 59 Academy Rd., with Rev. James Scholz officiating. The family wishes to thank for their kindness and compassion, the home care workers and her friends. A special thank you to the nurses on the fifth floor of the Grace Hospital for their great patience and kindness to Velma during her final hours.
