GLEN SHAND Peacefully, on August 17, 2003, at the Central Park Lodge, where he lived as a result of a debilitating stroke. Glen was born on October 5, 1935, in Selkirk, MB. He leaves to mourn his passing his sister Shirley Yvonne Still (Shand), (Ernest) Calgary and nephews, Murray Still (Brenda), Winnipeg, and sons, Graham and Michael, Paul Still, Petersfield and sons, Ryan and Kenton; niece Lori Kearney (Frank) Calgary, Dylan and Kaitlin, Alexander Field, Tara and Jason. He is survived by brothers, Bruce Soulsby, Winnipeg and Garfield Soulsby, Vancouver plus numerous relatives in Manitoba. Glen was predeceased by his mother Winnifred Gertrude Shand in 1977. Family members want to thank the dedicated staff of the Central Park Lodge for the care and compassion shown to Glen. During his lifetime Glen served as a Chef in many hotels in Manitoba and Ontario. He was known for his humourous dry wit, and sparkling eyes that would light up every room he entered. A memorial service will be held August 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thomson Funeral Chapel, 69 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB with the Rev. Canon Murray Still officiating. Reception to follow at 723 Elm St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
