DOUGLAS CHISHOLM FORBES 1919 - 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dougie on August 19, 2003. He will be missed by his loving wife of 61 years Dorothy; daughters, Madeleine, Diane (Dave) and Judy (Terry) his seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Bill and Les; sister Valerie; sons-in-law Lorne and Dave. Dad was born and raised in Rathwell, MB. He served in the Second World War with the M.A.C. A member of Prince Edward Legion #81, where he was President for two years and served his Legion with pride until his stroke in 2000. He worked for C.P.R. for 43 years. His favourite things were, baseball, golf, curling darts and pool. He loved a good time and a good joke. He was a generous man who always took care of his family and friends. Our family would like to thank the staff at the River East Personal Care Home for the kind care they gave him. We will miss your sense of humour and your loving tears. Flowers are gratefully declined. A donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3, would be appreciated. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23 at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at the Prince Edward Legion #81, 300 Trent Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
