JACOB FOLTA Our beloved Husband and Uncle, Jacob Folta passed away peacefully August 21, 2003 at Victoria Hospital after a short illness. Uncle Jacob leaves his wife Mary; sister Gusta; brother Ignacy; many nieces, nephews and friends to cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Lucia; brothers, Marion and Ted and sister Kazmir. Jacob was born in Poland on February 10, 1910 and his family immigrated to Canada, where they homesteaded in the Hamrlik area. He married Mary on February 14, 1942 and they recently celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary. He was employed as a professional painter until his retirement from the University of Manitoba, Maintenance Dept. He had a love for his woodworking projects as well as travel and social activities with friends and relatives. Prayers will be said on Sunday, August 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. also at Cropo Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Jacobs memory to a charity of ones choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
