Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES CHARLIE PECKOVER Peacefully with his family at his side, on August 21, 2003, Charlie died at the age of 68, at the Riverview Health Centre. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gerri, on January, 21, 2000. He is survived by his daughter Allison (Patrick) his son Greg; and grandchildren, Ethan and Christian. He is further survived by his sisters, Merle Logan and Grace (Cam) Bouchard; sister-in-law Lily Peckover and their families. Charles is also survived by Gerris family, Iris (Jack) Bell, Marvin Guspodarchuk, Yvonne (Al) Trupp, Nestor (Kerry) Guspodarchuk and their families. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Ida Peckover; his sister Janet Cousins; and his brother Bruce Peckover. Charles was born in Sperling, MB in 1935. After graduating from high school, he moved to Winnipeg where he joined the Canadian Air Force. After serving for one year, he left to start his career at Winnipeg Hydro. Later, he joined CIL (Stanchem), where he eventually assumed the position of office manager. He remained there until his retirement in 1997. Charles was an avid curler at Elmwood Curling Club and an active member of St. Stephens Parish Community. He always participated in his childrens activities. Charles gave selflessly to his family, always putting others first. He will be deeply missed. Special thanks to Rev. Fletcher Stewart and to the staff on the 7th floor at St. Boniface Hospital, and at the Palliative Unit at Riverview Health Centre. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 25 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephens Anglican Church, 200 Helmsdale Ave., with Rev. Fletcher Stewart officiating. Interment to follow in St. Johns Cathedral Columbarium. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
