SUGURDUR HAROLD "HARRY" ERLENDSON and "Pappy" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. September 1, 1915 to August 4, 2003 It is with love and great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold on August 4, 2003 in White Rock, BC, after suffering a stroke. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Taze Rebecca Erlendson on October 4, 1982; his brothers, William of Gimli, Arnold of Lundar; and sister Margaret Spencer of England; his parents, Frederic and Helga Erlendson of Cormorant Lake, MB. Left to cherish his memories are three daughters: Sharon and grandsons Donald (Suzie) Hart and Casey (Donna) Hart and great-grandchildren Tyler, Evan, Shelby and Dalton; daughter Deborah (Gordon) Maksym and granddaughter Kristin; daughter Kimberly (Rob) Sankar and grandchildren Jonathon, Shalini, and Justin; his sister Winifred (Jim) Henderson; and sister-in-laws, Hilda Erlendson of Gimli, and Olivia Erlendson of Lundar, MB; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Dad retired to White Rock, BC 21 years ago where he was a member of various clubs and organizations. He was an avid golfer, snooker champ and in later years excelled in lawn and carpet bowling. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Winnipeg and White Rock. Cremation and memorial services were held in White Rock, BC, as per his wishes. Family and friends are invited to an interment service at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., on Monday, August 25 at 4:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served at 357 Rita St., St. James, MB.
