MARY SHERBA Mary Sherba was born on June 30, 1917 in Oakbank, MB and passed away peacefully at Middlechurch Home on August 22, 2003. She will be greatly missed by her children, Ray (Lynne), Jean (Wilbur) Johnson, Ruth Grewe, and Cheryl (Josh) Barber. Grandma Sherba was blessed with ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is survived by one sister and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter of 61 years; son-in-law Harry; a granddaughter Carolyn; as well as four brothers and two sisters. Mary and Walter raised their family in Winnipeg. Mary was a life member of Calvary Temple. She faced many physical challenges in her life. Her steadfast faith in God was evident. She loved each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and found joy in their accomplishments. Her prayers for all of us will be greatly missed. She was known for her generous spirit and we will all miss her knitting, perogies, and chocolate bars. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Childrens Feeding Program - c/o Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St., Wpg. MB R3B 3A8. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Temple at 1:30 on Monday, August 25. Pastor Bruce Martin is the officiating minister. Viewing will be one half hour prior to service. Interment will take place in the family plot of Green Acres Memorial Gardens following the service. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
