CRAIG CHERNIAK Peacefully on August 23, 2003 at Deer Lodge Centre, Craig went home to heaven. He will be deeply missed by his dear wife Darleen (married almost 25 years) his sweet daughters, Amy and Kelly; his loving parents, Nestor and Elsie Cherniak; his brother Grant (Kim) as well as other precious family and friends. Born October 19, 1956 in Gimli, Craig loved life and people immensely. He grew up learning to work hard, playing hockey, driving his motorcycle, cars and being a great friend! He was never down, always smiling, giving encouragement and a helping hand to anyone who needed it until he took sick with Multiple Sclerosis in 1986. He loved being an air conditioning/refrigeration mechanic with Fleming Pedlar and was still playing hockey until then. During the past 17 years, Craig fought the good fight of faith. He never doubted Gods love and Gods promises, never complained, lost hope or said an angry word. He was truly amazing. He adored his "girls", loved listening to cassettes - his face would totally light up when listening to "Pastor Leon", he loved church, loved his family, visitors and his Boston Bruins! The family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff at 2DE Tache Centre, A6S St. Boniface Hospital, Handi Transit and 4E Deer Lodge Centre for your compassion, kindness and wonderful care of Craig. Thank you heavenly Father for never leaving his side - your faithfulness is amazing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Springs Church, Inner City Outreach, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd., R2J 3X2. Viewing will be held Wednesday, August 27 at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn. "Well love you forever and ever and see you again one day". Your Girls ROCK FONTAINE FUNERAL DIRECTOR IN CARE OF ARRANGEMENTS (204)223-2576
