ISABEL REIMER Quietly at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB on August 22, 2003 Isabel Reimer passed away, surrounded by family. Widowed in 1987, Isabel will be dearly missed by her son Gordon (Irene) and grandchildren, Kristen and Brett; daughter Raymonde (David) Tickner and grandchildren, Mark and Kiran. Isabel will also be missed by her many writing colleagues across Canada. Born in Halifax, NS on May 3, 1908, Isabel moved from the East Coast at the age of three and was educated and raised in Saskatoon, SK. She was an internationally published writer, winning several awards for fiction, and contributing to countless magazines, newspapers, and educational materials. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethesda Place Chapel, Steinbach with Chaplain Larry Hirst officiating.
