MARIA MIKUCKI Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, with family at her side, Maria Mikucki passed away August 24, 2003. Maria leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Hipolit; daughter Wanda; son Richard; son-in-law Richard; her beloved grandchildren, Andrea, Mark, Steven, Ryan, Sean; and her brother Ben and family; as well as numerous family members in Poland. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Karolina Karasinki; and brothers, Kazik and Joseph. Maria was born in Poland on September 20, 1923 and came to Canada with her husband in 1948. She worked in the garment industry prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Catholic league Roza Rozancowa, Emilja Plater and Polish Combatants Association. Maria enjoyed the outdoors, sewing clothes for family and friends and travelling the world. The family would like to thank Dr. Ted Kroczak, all the wonderful Home Care workers who worked in a compassionate manner to give Maria comfort during her difficult time and family friend Basia for her help and support. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., with an Oblate Father officiating. Viewing will commence at 10:00 a.m., also at the church.
