JOSEPH CLOVIS BELANGER Joseph Clovis Belanger, aged 87 years, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2003, at the Victoria General Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. Clovis leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Irene (nee Dupont) his daughter Rolande and son-in-law Edgar Dupont; his son Roger and daughter-in-law Claire (nee Pallard) three sisters, Annette Beaudry, Alice Desrochers, Jeanne Young; two brothers, Napoleon and Albert; and many other family members and friends. He is predeceased by his first wife Florence (nee Beaudry) his father and mother, Alphonse and Valerie (nee Bedard) two sisters, Jeanne (in infancy) and Pauline Morissette; two brothers, Godias and Paul. Clovis was born and raised in Selkirk, MB. He worked at the Manitoba Rolling Mills for 46 years. He was an active member of the United Steel Workers Union and of the local Credit Union. He was a fourth degree Knight in the Notre Dame Chapter of the Knights of Columbus. Clovis will always be remembered for his beautiful qualities, his great sense of humour, his caring thoughtfulness, his deep faith (a man of prayer), his dedication to being a very skillful and conscientious worker. He will be remembered as a very pleasant and enjoyable person to be with and loved by all who knew him. Prayers will be said at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, at St. John Brebeuf Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place in River Heights followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 2:00 p.m. The service will terminate at the church. Should friends so desire, donations may be made for the education of young priests in the Third World through the Society of St. Peter the Apostle Pontifical Mission Societies, 3329 Danforth Ave., Scarborough, ON M1L 4T3.
