SCOTT IAN McINTOSH On August 26, 2003, Scott passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 18, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Scott leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Ian McIntosh of Winnipeg, Kelly McIntosh of Elm Creek; his sister, Laura and brother, Evan; his grandparents, Bill and Jean McIntosh and Bev and Dave Cameron; his great-grandmothers, Mary Hossack and Gertrude McKinnon. He will be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins; Lori and Derrick Gunnlaugson, cousins, Ainsley and Norm, Jillian and Dan and Derek; Uncle Guy and Auntie Lorna, cousins, Jeffrey, Ryan and Brianne; Auntie Charlene and Uncle Clint, cousins, Gregory, Alex and Kaitlyn; Auntie Lori and Uncle Ray, cousins, George, Katie and Carly; and his very special Uncle Grant who was always there for him. Special friends Jonathan Stafford and Dorien Bibault and numerous others in Elm Creek and Winnipeg. At this time we would like to express our gratitude to the many people who have supported us in so many ways over the past 14 months - Jamie and Delisa at CancerCare; all the nurses and staff on GD6 at HSC, your kindness will stay with us forever. Special kisses have to be given to Tamara, Scotts nurse whom made living with leukemia easier to bear. Also, special thanks to Dr. Rubinger, Dr. Bow, Dr. Wiebe, Tunji, Oksana and Nancy for trying so hard to save Scotts life. Scott was born April 23, 1985, in Winnipeg. Scott had a great love of music and many interests, some of which included; writing, drawing and running. He had a great love of animals and came home in between chemos and treatments to be with his dogs, Sophie and Charlie. During Scotts illness he endured more pain than most of us could experience in a lifetime. He remained so strong and his concerns and considerations for others were always on the top of his list. He was the kindest, most caring person in the world. We were proud to be his parents. We will miss him so much and he will forever be in our hearts. A celebration of Scotts life will be held on Friday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Elm Creek Community Hall in Elm Creek, with Rev. John Stafford officiating. Doyles Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Scotts wish was that everyone realize the importance of donating blood. He received many transfusions over the past 14 months. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Pediatric Unit, 2248 Stn. Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9 or to the Childrens Hospital of Winnipeg, 108 - 671 William Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0Z2.
