MARCEL RAYMOND DHEILLY February 26, 1955 - August 29, 2003 It is with heavy hearts and flowing tears that we struggle to tell you that our beloved son, brother (in-law), uncle, nephew and friend has passed on. Marcel was predeceased by his mother, Angele, and his niece, Crystal. He leaves to mourn (and mourn we will) his father, Raymond and his brother, Roger (Claudia). He also leaves to mourn his nieces, Renee, Rebecca, Kayla, Jessica and nephews, Christopher and Keegan. Marcel was born in St. Boniface where he spent all of his life. He attended grade school at Marion and Provencher Schools and then went on to attend at Louis Riel Collegiate. When out of school, Marcel worked at numerous jobs until his mother became ill in the 1970s, at which time it became clear to him and those around him that his destiny was to care for others. He chose at that time to take care of his mother while dad continued to work. For those of us who knew Marcel as a family member he was truly one of a kind. He was always willing to help and always had a kind and often humourous comment to add to conversation. As life would have it, Marcel chose to never marry. We have always imagined what a wonderful father he would have been if he had been blessed with children of his own. We know this because of the profound love he had for his nieces and nephews. And the love he had for them was always abundantly returned by them. Of all of us, they truly will miss uncle "cell" as he was referred to by them. In his short life, Marcel had some significant friends. He had far too many friends to list but there are those which weaved a permanent thread of lifelong friendship and he would have wanted to mention them here. Having all contributed to the person Marcel was are Gilbert St. Godard, Michael Kalmakoff, Michael (Mitch) Jubinville, Daniel Moquin, Phillip Delorme and Gilbert Boulet. We would also be remiss if we did not mention the great friend that John Landry has been to the family in these difficult times. Thank you Johnny! It is often said in times like these where someone so dear to you is gone, that you not shed a tear for they are in a far better place. For now, we will choose to shed not a tear, but many tears, for they will help to wash away the pain we feel today and which will be there tomorrow. Marcel died of cancer. He fought it and he fought it. And he fought it some more. The disease ravaged him to the point where he could not fight anymore. In lieu of flowers or donations, Marcel would want you to do something for yourselves. Go to your favourite place of worship and if you dont have one...find one. And then go and give thanks for the greatest gifts you have today...the gifts of health and of life. Prayer and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, Glen Lawn Funeral Chapel, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Prayers will commence at 2:00 p.m. to be immediately followed by the funeral service. Interment will follow in the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will also be held in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre following the interment. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
