Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHANNES KEITH EYOLFSON February 26, 1945 - August 27, 2003 After 58 unforgettable years, our guiding star no longer brightens the night sky. Words cannot convey the person that you are, or the indelible mark that you left on those that you have touched. Husband and lover, father, grandfather (Afi to his namesake Jakob), uncle, son, nephew, twin, and brother. Friend, and guide to us all. And yet so much more... Keith sailed through life as he sailed the waters. Calmly, and with a sure hand, thinking only of his passengers, charting a course through the turbulent seas of our glorious journey. Confident in his abilities to see us all to safe harbor, and in doing so, ignoring the perils and damage it would inflict on his own fragile vessel. Now that you have sailed beyond, you leave in your wake memories of our great adventure, and the pain we feel in "sending the old man home." We wish you love, freedom, and the peacefulness that you so richly deserve, while at the same time we eagerly await to see what new course you have set for us, and what wonders we will surely behold. We know we can only follow when you call for us, after you are sure that we will be safe from harm. We look forward to seeing you again, and in the meantime bleed in our sorrow and rail at the injustice of your passing. Our only solace the memories that you left behind, and knowing (yes knowing!) that we will meet again on some exotic and beautiful shore. The joy of that reunion gives us the strength to go on, knowing that is what you would want us to do. We love you Keith, as you were well aware. So keep your steady hand on the helm, with one eye on the stars, and one eye for the smiling faces that follow in your wake. Oh captain, our captain, how we miss you. In accordance with his wishes, a private family ceremony will be held in celebration of all the joy that he has left behind, and ask all others to take a moment to remember an act of kindness that our beloved Keith has bestowed upon them. We thank you for kind thoughts.
