LIONEL EUGENE PELOQUIN Lionel died peacefully, with his family by his side at the DeSalaberry District Health Centre. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Simone; his sons, Claude and Rene (Lynne) his daughters, Monique (Dale Hopfner), Jocelyne (Leo Prefontaine), Marcelle (Robert Lahaie), Rosemarie (Glenn Hopfner) and Paule; 18 grandchildren, Michel, Jocelyn, Christine, Luc (Corinne), Joanne, Curtis, Jeremy, Steven, Alain, Josee, Nicole, Daniel, Andre, Joseph, Katherine, Jennifer, Stephanie and Alexandra. Also left to mourn his passing are Lionels sisters, Marthe Arnal, Annette Morrissette, Rita (Alfred) Goebel, Jeanne (Omer) Marcoux and his sister-in-law Rita Peloquin. He was predeceased by his parents, Ovila and Marie-Anna; his brothers, Paul and Roland; as well as his brothers-in-law, Albert Morrissette and Auguste Arnal. Like his grandfather and father, he proudly served the community in many respects such as councillor for the Rural Municipality of DeSalaberry, trustee and president of the Red River School Division. The family wishes to thank all those who showed love and support during his long illness. A very special thanks goes to the devoted and compassionate staff members at the DeSalaberry District Health Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the DeSalaberry District Health Centre Foundation in St. Pierre-Jolys will be graciously accepted. Funeral mass will be held in the St. Pierre Roman Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m., prayers at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2. LOEWEN Funeral Chapel 5 Chrysler Gate - Steinbach - 326-1351
