Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET VILBORG SINGLE February 10, 1928 - August 29, 2003 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Margaret Single (nee Clarke), 75 years, on August 29, 2003 at Riverview Health Centre. Mom fought a courageous battle with cancer for over three years with great dignity and without complaint. We are so proud of her tenacity and resolve. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ernie of 55 years, their three sons, Clarke (Shirley), Cole (Julia) and Drew (Cindy). Also grandchildren, Brett, Erin, Kristyn, Garrett, Dane, Leah, Blayne, Brooke and Nolan. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Cliff and Sigrun Clarke; and sisters, Marjorie and Bernice. Mom was born in 1928 at Winnipeg General Hospital and spent her early years in Bay End and Moordale, MB. She later resided in Ochre River, MB where she met and married Ernie. They raised their family together in Winnipeg. Her greatest passion was her family. She enjoyed baking, sewing and reading. Mom was active with the U.C.W. and spent time supporting her sons in their sporting activities in St. Vital. She and Ernie enjoyed 17 winters as "snowbirds" in the southern States, in particular their many years in Arizona. Mom and Dad enjoyed lawn bowling with their many new friends down South. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Dr. Maxwell and staff of the Victoria Hospital, and to Dr. Garcia and staff of E3 at Riverview for their excellent support and care. Memorial service will be held at St. Marys Road United Church, 613 St. Marys Rd., on Thursday, September 4 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Russell Wardell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margs memory to Victoria Hospital Oncology Unit or Riverview Health Centre. REST IN PEACE MOM, YOULL BE FOREVER IN OUR THOUGHTS GREEN ACRES Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, 222-3241
