JOHN KEITH WISHART Peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2003, John Keith Wishart passed away at the Minnedosa Hospital. Keith was born in Portage la Prairie, MB on January 1, 1928. He was educated in Portage la Prairie. Keith began his lifetime working career as Municipal Administrator in Sioux Lookout, ON where he met his future wife Dorothy Bruce. After marriage they lived in Bombertown, ON before moving to Minnedosa in 1957. Keith was a member of the United Church and served on the executive of the Minnedosa branch of the Canadian Legion. He was the longest serving Magistrate in Manitoba. Keith was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, who died of Cancer in 1982 and his parents, Allan and Annie Wishart. He leaves to mourn his daughter Karen (Lorne) son Gordon; daughter Diane (Steven) Leard; son Bruce (Lonnie) and grandchildren. Keith is also survived by brothers and sisters, Kay, Ken (Dorothy), Don (Dot), Beth (Gard) Greenlay and Marlene Batke and numerous nieces and nephews. Rev. Shawn Ankenmann conducted the funeral service at the Minnedosa United Church on Monday, August 18. Pallbearers were Brian Runnalls, Al Porter, Duane LaCoste, Gail Graves, Allan Jamieson and Frank Plaxton. The united Church choir sang "His Eye is on the Sparrow"; organist Eleanor Taylor. Members of the Minnedosa Legion took part in the service and formed the Honour Guard. Interment took place in the Minnedosa Cemetery. Friends who wish to make a donation in memory of Keith to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7. Arrangements were with Memories Chapel, Minnedosa.
