MORRIS McPHERSON September 15, 1926 - August 30, 2003 Peacefully with his family at his side, Morris (Rat) McPherson of Winnipeg (Peguis First Nation), passed away on August 30, 2003 at the age of 76 years. Morris leaves to mourn his daughter Irma McPherson (Marty) his son Grant and Treena McPherson; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tara, Crystal (T.J., Joshua, Krista), Anthony, Derek (Taniesha, Alexis), Raymond (Raymond Jr., Donna, Terrance), Terry and Cameron (Aaron, Chelsey) his sister Eileen Thomas; his brother Lawrence; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Morris was predeceased by his wife Gladys; his children, Morris Jr., Clarence, Andrew, Daniel and two in infancy; his grandson Danny; his parents, Andrew and Mary Jane McPherson; his brothers, Charlie, Albert, Allan, Graham, Colin and Cyril; his sisters, Gertrude, Kathleen and Mary. Morris was raised on the family farm in Peguis. He attended residential school in Elkhorn. He was a wild rice consultant/processor, as well as a roofer with the help of Lucy, even to his final days. His greatest pastime was bingo. He will be always loved and remembered. The family would like to express special thanks to Ron and Janice Carriere, Carol Cook, Gary and Linda McPherson, Edie Thomas, Josephine and staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for their patience and care given. To the Peguis Chief and Council and community members and Anderson Family Funeral Home for all their help and support during our loss. A wake service will be held on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4 at 2:00 p.m., with a viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Peguis Wesleyan Methodist Church, with Rev.
