Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEN SAPOZNIK September 2, 1954 - August 30, 2003 After a lengthy illness and a valiant fight, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ben (Bernard) Sapoznik. Left to mourn; his parents, Morris and Hadassah Sapoznik; sister Bella (Jaime Diaz) brothers, Sam and Joe (Sharon) nieces and nephews, Shira Waldman (Eyal), David Chochinov (Monica), Laura Chochinov, Karlee, Kaylee and Joshua Sapoznik; and great-niece Maayan Waldman. Ben was recently recognized for having achieved 30 years of service with Canada Safeway, and will be greatly missed by his colleagues. He was a sports enthusiast and actively participated in football, hockey, golf, tennis, and bowling. Ben was the secretary and active member of the Wednesday night Alley Cats Bowling League for over 10 years. He remained their secretary until the end. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at 12:30 p.m., at the Bnai Abraham Cemetery 4639 Main St. A condolence reception will follow at 1:15 p.m., at the Congregation Etz Chayim, 123 Matheson Ave. If friends so desire, donations can be made in Bens memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
