Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAZIMIERZ WOJCIK After a lengthy illness, Kazimierz Wojcik peacefully passed away at the age of 80 on August 31, 2003 with his family at his side. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Agrypina; son Tadeusz (Teresa) grandchildren, Cecilia, Christopher, Anna-Alicia and Jeannette of Winnipeg, Henry (Pat) of London, ON, Mark (Dorota) of Winnipeg; sister Felicia Broda in Poland; as well as many nephews and nieces in Poland, Canada and England. He was predeceased by his parents, Jakub and Rozalia; son Richard; brothers, Jozef and Edward; and sister Julia Kusyk. Kazimierz was born January 11, 1923 in Kolaczkowice, Poland in 1940. At a young age in 1940 along with his family he was forced to leave Poland and moved to Ural Mountains in Russia where he worked in the copper mines. Later by joining the 2 Korpus Polish Army he gained his freedom and took part in the invasion of Italy particularly in the battle of Monte Cassino. After the war, he went to England where he met and married Agrypina in 1950. They immigrated to Canada in 1953 where he worked at many jobs and finally being part owner of Wawel Meat Market and retired in 1988. Kazimierz was a devoted and faithful member of the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus A & J Kulawy Council and the Rosary Solidarity. He was a longtime member of the Polish Combatants Association and Royal Canadian Legion, Andrew Mynarski V.C. Branch 34. Kazimierz was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the doctors, nursing staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital for all their loving care. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, September 3 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 4 at 10:30 a.m at the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kazimierz memory to the Holy Ghost Church Maintenance Fund. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
