Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMINNIE RUTH DUNBAR (ISIDOR) On Sunday, August 31, 2003, after a lengthy illness, Minnie Ruth Dunbar passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. Minnie was born in Winnipeg in 1917, the youngest of six children, to Sam and Alice (Simpson) Isidor and grew up in rural Manitoba, primarily: Rossburn, Treherne, Pilot Mound and Manitou. After marrying Daniel in 1939, they lived and raised their family in St. Vital. Together, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1989 with many relatives and friends attending. She was an active member of Regents Park United Church, Jubilee Chapter No. 27 - Order of the Eastern Star, and the St. Vital Seniors Centre. Minnie is survived by her sons, Daniel (Lynda) of Kamloops, BC and John of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Tracy Dunn (Micheal) of Kamloops, Leigh-Anne and Ryan Dunbar of Winnipeg; great-grandson Simon Dunn of Kamloops; sisters, Dot Turner of Amherstburg, ON, Gladys Dale (Ed) of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Terry Dunbar of Winnipeg Beach; brother-in-law Gerry Pawson in British Columbia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving husband Daniel in 1995; her parents; and brothers, Charlie, Russell and Howard; sisters-in-law, Rowena Isidor, Ellen Booth, Jenny Pawson and Lorraine and Lillian Dunbar; brothers-in-law, Ward Turner, Albert Booth and William, John and Robert Dunbar. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Marys Road United Church, 613 St. Marys Rd., St. Vital, Rev. Russell Wardel officiating. Interment to follow in St. Vital Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, contributions may be made to a charity of their choice.
