Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBASIL (BILL) KISIW Mr. Bill Kisiw, aged 86 years, resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 with his family at his side. Born in Buchanan, MB he was raised in Tyndall, MB. He was employed with the U. S. Army as a cook for three years. Bill then went home to Tyndall and built his mother a home. He managed a Fur Trading Post in Northern Manitoba on Lake Winnipeg. He began working in the construction business as a road builder and took great pride in his work and teaching others the tricks of the trade. His main interests were gathering berries, making jams, and working in his garden. Survived by his daughter Natalie Kisiw-Smith (Bob Girvin) two granddaughters, Ashley Smith and Dakota Smith also nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, evening September 4 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. in the Jenkens Funeral Home. Prayers will be offered Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services for Mr. Basil (Bill) Kisiw will be held on Friday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 S. Syndicate Ave., Thunder Bay, ON with Rev. Bob Bilinski officiating. Interment to take place in Sunset Memorial gardens.
